Born in 1966, Robin Gayle Wright is the iconic American actress and director known worldwide for her starring role in the 1987 film The Princess Bride. She originally gained recognition for starring on the soap opera Santa Barbara from 1984 to 1988, and more recently, she’s been starring in the Netflix series House of Cards. Robin has won a Golden Globe for the role, giving her the honor of being the first actress to ever win a Golden Globe for a web series. Robin is also slated to appear in the 2017 DC superhero film Wonder Woman and the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. She’s also an active humanitarian, and has been actively advocating for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2015, she narrated and produced a documentary called “When Elephants Fight” about the subject.
