First Date Conversation

So you finally get that date you've been wanting for months, you plan where your going to go but you don't have a clue what your going to say. This article will give you a few topics to include in your conversation and a few to avoid.

1) AVOID HER PAST First of all you should never ask about previous boyfriends on first dates, incase they still have feelings for the ex or she may have been really hurt. Any other bad experiences she may have from her past do not need to be brought up in conversation either. The first date is like an audition you are seeing what she likes and doesn’t like and if she is suitable for you, finding out about her past is for other times.

2) FOOD AND DRINK This topic will be especially useful if you are in a restaurant or by a bar. Just talking about the kind of food and drink you prefer, this can also be useful if you get a second date, as you will know what food she likes.

3) CAREER PLANS Just start off talking about her job and where she would like to go and if she is not in the career she would like to be, then console her and dish out a few compliments. With this topic you could also move onto her dream job.

4) TRAVELING A good way to her spark interest is traveling, as she will most probably re-live a good holiday or an exotic destination she has visited. You could ask about where she would like to visit and if she is planning any future holidays soon.

5) SIBLINGS This is usually a safe topic of conversation, granted she has brothers or sisters. It might be wise to stay off the topic of parents in case they are divorced or separated. If she does have siblings it will most probably trigger good feelings and you can talk about funny memories she has.

6) FRIENDS A good conversational topic to use is her friends. This way she is in a comfort zone talking about people she likes. She will tell you about her circle of friends and how much they mean to her.

7) HOBBIES What does she do in her free time, is she sporty? What kind of music does she like? These are usually subjects where you see if you have a connection and have things in common

8) A FEW TOPIC SUBJECTS YOU CAN USE

Books

Films

Winning the lottery (how you will spend it)

Celebrities

Remember with each conversation topic play off her responses, if she seems comfortable with the conversation and enjoying it keep asking questions revolving around that topic. Although if she seems awkward quickly move off onto another subject.
